St. Joe Serve!
Posted on October 10, 2008

MVBC will be taking part in St. Joe Serve again this year, helping to meet the physical needs of people in our community through a variety of service projects. MVBC’s service projects will take place on October 12th, following our normal service. Afterwards, a community celebration service will be held at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church at 7:00 pm.
In addition to the above, MVBC is partnering with the American Red Cross to help provide lifesaving smoke alarms free of charge to area residents. If you would like to participate in this project, please purchase and bring battery powered smoke detectors to church. Please contact Angie Springs at (816) 232-8439 or (816) 671-0371 if you have questions.

Rick and Mick!
Posted on February 3, 2008
Midland Ministries has been working recently to bring Rick and Mick (a ministry team focused on reaching students) to the St. Joseph area in early February. Please pray for their efforts as they try to reach students through their brand of comedy and contemporary music. They will be in several schools throughout the area, and if things go well, will be invited back to ALL of the schools in St. Joseph next year.
Aside from their appearances in local schools, there are a couple events coming up in which you can participate. Family Night is at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 9th at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. The main youth rally will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 14th (also at Frederick). In addition to these, Rick and Mick will be visiting our church on Wednesday, February 13th (7:00 pm) along with the kids from Southside Youth Outreach.
More information can be found here.
This is exciting stuff, so don’t miss out!

StJoeServe Update
Posted on September 25, 2007
For our work project on Valley Street we need the following items. Please bring what you have so that we can complete this project:
1. Paint rollers
2. Roller handles
3. Paint scrapers
4. Paint brushes (assorted sizes, from 1″ to 3″)
We have also realized that our projects are smaller than originally thought and we will need to find additional work projects. As such, please remain flexible and we will let you know as soon as we identify the additional work projects.
Please check back later in the week for information about where to meet, etc.
