New Small Group Study…
Posted on December 26, 2010
[NOTE: We are rescheduling the start of the study to January 13th to ensure we have a more final list of participants and have sufficient time to plan the first night.]
This morning, we announced the creation of a new small group study, beginning Thursday, January 13th.
We will use David Platt’s book, “Radical”, as a conversation starter, and hope to encourage attendees to seriously think about how our lives should look in light of our relationship with Jesus!
The group will meet at 6:00 pm at the home of John and Nancy Stickley. If you are interested in participating, or would like more information, please contact us!

90 Day New Testament Challenge!
Posted on January 31, 2010
Are you ready to make the Bible a part of your daily life? We’re here, ready to help you out! Using the good stuff the folks at YouVersion.com have made available online, we have put together a Bible reading program to bring us through the ENTIRE New Testament in just 90 days!
While we have directed the 90 Day New Testament Challenge at the men of MVBC, we’d love to find out that everyone is participating in some way. To that end, we’ve published the reading plan here in Word format. If you’re interested in taking part of the challenge in an official manner, please talk with John Stickley or Tom Brager and let them know that you’d like to sign up.
For you guys who are taking part, please be sure to visit MVBC’s men’s group at YouVersion.com. We’ve got an “event” detailing the challenge there, including instructions on the usage of YouVersion.com to aid you in keeping up with your daily readings.
Scripture can change your life in amazing ways, so please… consider participating in this in some way!

Christmas Eve Service Cancelled
Posted on December 24, 2009
Due to developing adverse weather conditions in the St. Joseph area, and resultant unsafe driving conditions, MVBC will be cancelling our Christmas Eve service tonight. Normal services are expected to be held on Sunday.
Please be safe and enjoy Christmas with your family!
Be sure to make time this evening to reflect upon the hope that came to the world with the birth of our Savior, and to make this an integral part of your celebration of Christmas this year!
We hope that all of you have a Merry Christmas!
