The Harvest is Plentiful…
Posted on January 15, 2012
This morning, Pastor Jared shared a message building on his messages of the past couple weeks on Biblical manhood and Biblical womanhood, ultimately challenging us to get serious about that which Jesus is serious about: people.
Drawing from Hosea, referencing the miracles of Jesus in Matthew 8 and 9, and ultimately wrapping up with Matthew 9:37-38, Pastor Jared reminds us that God needs workers, both men and women, ready and willing to do whatever it takes to love people lost in their sins. Our mission and our ministry as men and women of God is to have mercy and compassion for those who need Jesus that are everywhere in our lives. We’re called to do whatever it takes to reach them.
Are you willing? If you’re a born again follower of Christ, you’d better be.

Biblical Manhood
Posted on January 8, 2012
As noted in last week’s podcast, we’re focusing at the beginning of this year on being completely Biblical as a church, starting with the Biblical roles of men and women. It’s critical that we understand our roles so that God may be most glorified not only in our lives individually, but in our church.
Today’s message focuses on Biblical Manhood, as outlined in Ephesians 5. Men have a deep Biblical responsibility to lead their wives and their families!

Biblical Womanhood
Posted on January 1, 2012
As we begin a new year, we believe it’s very important to focus on being completely Biblical as a church. A critical part of this is that men and women understand exactly what their Biblical roles look like, so that each of us might live as God intends.
Today’s message focuses on Biblical Womanhood, as outlined in Ephesians 5 and other locations in Scripture. It tackles a subject that’s very difficult for most women in today’s culture: Biblical submission.

Those “Dirty” Deacons…
Posted on February 6, 2011
In the modern church, there is often times quite a bit of confusion about the office of deacon, both amongst church members and deacons themselves. In many churches, deacon bodies have created huge problems. In others? They’ve been almost all that’s RIGHT with the church.
The point? The importance of good deacons cannot be emphasized enough, and it’s critical that we understand the instructions God has given us about them.
This morning, Pastor Jared helped us to dig into Scripture to do just this. His message, entitled, “Those Dirty Deacons” can be found by clicking on the link to the right.

Biblical Leadership
Posted on January 30, 2011
In secular organizations, a huge emphasis is placed on leadership (and rightly so). Corporations live and die as a result of leadership. Millions of dollars are gained and lost due to leadership. The stakes are high.
In the church, the stakes are even higher. As we deal with matters of eternity, the ability of our leaders to closely follow Christ and guide the church in His ways is absolutely critical.
Thankfully, we’re not on our own… God has given us instructions, which Pastor Jared dug into with us this morning (1 Timothy 3:1-16).

The Biblical Man and the Value of Women
Posted on January 16, 2011
Modern society teaches us that men and women are complete equals, both perfectly capable of performing almost any role or task. Questioning this assertion in any manner is sure to draw the ire of someone.
Many Christians have adopted this politically correct point of view, assuming that roles of ministry in the church that men and women fulfill is no different. But is this Biblical? What should the Biblical man look like? And what is the value of women given that their Biblical role is somewhat different than what modern society asserts?
Pastor Jared helps unpack this difficult and sensitive topic, examining Ephesians 5:22-33. Prepare to be challenged!

Know Your Role! (1 Corinthians 12:4-13:3)
Posted on January 9, 2011
In this passage of Scripture, Paul teaches that there is a glorious, peaceful, un-uniformity in the Church which is meant to reach the world for Jesus Christ. As in Corinth, we find that today’s believers, like individual parts of the human body, function differently, but have a divine design. Each believer has a specific role and calling. When we accept our duty and our place in the Church and work in love, we find that each submissive believer can be invaluable to the Church, for His Glory.

Real Church. (Luke 2:22-35)
Posted on January 2, 2011
In today’s world there are many people who identify themselves as “Christians”. But would they really sell as the real deal? What does the Bible say about authentic belief?
Through the prophecy of Simeon at Jesus’ presentation at the temple we see that Jesus came not to conform, but to transform lives for His Glory.

The Mission, Ministry, and Mindset of the Believer
Posted on December 26, 2010
Pastor Jared issued a strong challenge to each of us this morning, asking us to consider the mission, ministry, and mindset of the believer. Drawing from Luke chapter 2, he asked us to consider whether we are really willing to give ourselves wholly to that which we have been called. Are we willing to lay aside everything for the sake of Jesus? In the end, He is all that matters… everything else is worthless.

The Birth of Christ: Good (Yet Troubling) News!
Posted on December 19, 2010
This morning, we celebrated Christmas and all the good news that the birth of our Savior, Jesus, brings to us. Pastor Jared challenged us to consider the message of Christmas: that our Savior Jesus has indeed come into the world, bringing hope to all of mankind. At the same time, however, the entry of Christ into our world also brings trouble to each of us: how will we respond to Him? Jesus should revolutionize our very lives, indeed a good, yet troubling proposition!
