Love God – Love people!
In a nutshell, that’s what we at Missouri Valley Baptist Church think is important. Jesus seemed to think it was important as well when He gave that command to His disciples in Mark 12:29-31!
While we value our heritage as a body (our church was started in the late 1800′s), you’ll find that we place a great emphasis on making God as available and understandable as possible. As such, we value exciting, contemporary worship and we emphasize biblical, verse by verse teaching. When you join us for worship, we want you to feel free to focus solely on God, so please… come as you are! We believe God would have it that way!
All children are precious to us, so rest assured that your kids will be well cared for under the watchful eye of our capable nursery, children’s ministry, and student ministry workers. Nursery is available for children from birth through three years of age, and we hold children’s church during our worship service for ages 4 through 1st grade. Sunday school classes are available for all ages, and our SOX Student Ministry is available to students in grades 7-12.
At Missouri Valley, as our guest, we promise not to single you out or ask you to be recognized publicly. We will, however, welcome you with open arms and show you the love that we have for one another. We believe strongly in the importance of community, and will do everything we can to help you feel welcome and to help you in your walk with our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Missouri Valley takes our call to make disciples of all nations seriously, and we emphasize missions in many ways. On the local level, in addition to the disciple-making efforts we expect of all our members, we are strong supporters of the ministry of Southside Youth Outreach. Nationally and internationally, we are partners with the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board (through which we have a family serving to further the cause of Christ overseas). Though our church is small in size, we are committed to reaching the world for Jesus through missions activities!
